There’s been a fair bit of change at With a Little Help Counselling in recent times, all designed to improve your experience with us, and to better help meet your needs.

The first big change has been the shift to our new office in Hurstville.

Situated on Level 3, at 34 MacMahon Street, you may know the building as ‘Hurstville House’, it has been a big part of the Hurstville landscape since the 1980s.

There’s air-conditioning and lifts, it’s really close to Hurstville Train Station and just a very short stroll from the Hurstville Bus Interchange.

There are also plenty of parking options, including on top of Hurstville station, in the nearby Westfield Shopping Centre, and in the Council Car Park on MacMahon Street (2 Hour Free Parking).

But as exciting as a new office is, what I’m really excited to announce is that our new Child & Youth Counsellor has now commenced with us.

Kaitlyn Rooke is a great addition to With a Little Help Counselling.

After years of experience working with kids and teens in a number of not-for-profit organisations such as the NSW PCYC, Kaitlyn has decided to branch out into providing her skills and knowledge direct to her own clients.

What I like about Kaitlyn is that she is very relatable, and friendly and has a strong array of different skills and experiences.

She knows that being a young person can have its own unique set of challenges and is really mindful of trying to provide that support and acceptance that can make a huge difference in a person’s life, both now and in the future.

There is a mountain of research that has proven over the years that early intervention from a compassionate and dedicated support person can have significant impacts on our lives across the short, medium and long term.

I know that just from my own work with adults and couples that often their presenting issues could have potentially been minimised if there had been a better support network for them in their formative years.

So, if you have a child or teen that is maybe struggling a little with friendships, at home, or at school, I really couldn’t recommend Kaitlyn highly enough.

If you would like to find out more about Kaitlyn please feel free to visit this page, and new client bookings are now being taken here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have made these changes, we hope to see you soon.
